If I gave an eye to you

If I gave my eye to thee

I’d have one and you’d have three.

I’d be a cyclops and you’d be a triclops

And we’d both have really weird… Eye pops?

Anyone, help?

  1. I’d be a cyclops and you’d be a triclops

If I gave an eye to thee

    T’would be less that’d I’d see

    I’d crawl over the mountaintops

If I gave an eye to thee

    I’d swim over the sea

    Work in the worst shops

To give an eye to thee

Does that finish up the poem?

    • How about this:
If I gave my eye to thee
I’d have one and you’d have three.
T’would be less that I would see
If I gave my eye to thee.
But id still crawl over mountaintops
To make me a cyclops and you a triclops
I would swim across the sea
Just to give my eye to thee.

      • Why in the world would I give you my eye?
Why do I laugh, why do I cry?
        I couldn’t answer these if I tried
        So don’t even ask anymore.
Why do I think of you all the day
Though when meeting you I have nothing to say?
For the same reasons i would give you my eyes
        I. Don’t. Know.
I suppose I want you to see what I see
The wonder about you, the beauty
        For you to understand why
        In the heavens above
I would sacrifice my eye for you.
The answer, I guess, lies in earth and in trees
In everything glorious that ones cornea can see
You’re complex yet simple and perfect for me
So I really would give my eye to thee.
PS. If anyone is wondering, this poem is NOT directed at anyone. I just wrote it on a whim. Tis fun, yes?
